Picture Window

On one of the trips to the southwest to deliver paintings, I stopped at a cool 1950's inspired hotel for the night. I did this sketch in the room and added the blue cat, who I suppose is me. I really loved the feeling hotel gave me of an oasis back in time and added those jumped up colors and organic shapes. During the pandemic with all of us being isolated and viewing the world from inside the window, this painting felt particularly timely.
