Switchbacks

I did the sketch for this painting last fall while in Arizona. It is a portion of Camelback Mountain behind The Phonecian Resort. I loved the way the trails moved in diagonal lines displaying the beautiful succulents and Palo Verde trees lining the paths. I placed the words "Peace", "Love" and "Hope" along the journey up the path.
