Palm Window - Matisse window series

Another painting in my continuing homage to Matisse the master! For this painting I took several images from his paintings and changed them to my own colors, or drawings, and combined different paintings for this image. The curtain is circa 60's but the pattern is derived from one of his paintings called "The Aloes". The palm is from a photograph of a window in Nice, France. I have that same kind of palm outside my painting room window and see that cropping everyday. The bowl of fruit and window idea are from a painting called "Interior with Egyptian Curtain". I liked the way the black background really set off the brilliant colors.
