Golden Chimayo

I love Chimayo (often called the Lourdes of the Southwest) and this painting is another of my paintings of that area between Santa Fe and Taos. I have one of my dogs, Sazi - waiting at the entrance, tail wagging with delight as I approach. There is an element of the afterlife to this painting, I imagine all my dogs waiting for me in a special place where we will be reunited. Chimayo seems like the kind of miraculous place something like that would happen.
