Ocean Air

Won Honorable Mention in Escondido Municipal Gallery "Local Color" shows 7/15 I wanted to revisit a similar painting from 2014, Twilight Flight. In this version I show a golden barn owl flying over a sunset ocean, with the San Diego coastline stretching out below. The sky shows the transition from sunset to twilight to deep space. I placed a nebula floating over the owl, a symbol of the magnitude of space and time that is spiraling around us as we fly through space on a blue ball. Oil on Linen.
