Grazing by the Gorge

Ponies grazing by the side of the road are my favorite thing to see in the southwest! I love sketching them, and taking photos, many are so friendly they come right up to the fence and look like they are about to talk! The wild mustangs of the open plains and mesas of this are emblematic of the west and freedom. To see them in their natural environment is awe inspiring. The Rio Grande is winding through the scene and in the background you can see it making an "S" as it snakes its way through the land of enchantment.
