Midnight Clear Chimayo

I have painted Chimayo many times, it is a meditation to paint and imagine myself there, to feel the scenery and smell the winter time piñon smoke in the air. In this winter scene I wanted to show a shining star, like the Star of Bethlehem beaming in the night sky above the Santurario of healing that is Chimayo. I have a friend, Doug David, who is in need of a miraculous healing and I was thinking about him while I painted this.
